The photos in the frame above are of our stalls at the Hulbridge Village Fayre on June 20th 2010. Our stalls raised over £200 on the day.

We are holding Boot Sales on most Sundays throughout the summer at 8am, at the Carpenters arms Rawreth.

On Saturday 20th of February, the club ran a grand charity auction at St. Georges Church hall, Thundersley. Profit goes to the clubs charity fund for good causes.

Setup of the auction is well underway at 9am.

The club made a net profit of approx. £200 on the day. Thanks to all who bought goods on the day.
Some of the club members organised another Auction on the 26th June 2010 at the WRVS hall in Benfleet.

A photo of Lions President Ken & Vice District Governor Barry testing a stairlift fitted by Lion Alan Guthrie of the Lions club of Southend-on-Sea, assisted by various members of the Lions club of Castle Point. The Stairlift was kindly donated by a neighbour of Lions Jean & Brian Stanbridge, The Stairlift was fitted in a new home on Canvey Island for someone who could no longer get upstairs on their own.

The awards the Lions Club of Castle Point won at District 105 EA Convention 2010,
Which was 2 for the Peace Poster Competition, 1 for the host night Fancy Dress Competition.

On 24th July 2010, Lions President Ken presented former Member Clive Hobbs, Who is Currently President of Helston & district Lions Club in Cornwall, with a Melvin Jones Fellowship Award.
Clive and his wife Pam were visiting family in Essex & contacted Vice District Governor Lion Barry Miller, He arranged for Pam to bring his chain of office. Barry asked Lions President Ken and & Secretary John Hayes over and Lion Ken did the presentation.

To say Clive was surprised, would be an understatement.
